We just saw the 5. issue of the ESEM - magazine. We were very interested on it. "Our noses sticks on the screen." We admire the photos because this time they are very clear. But unfortunately there are not always the completely French group at the photos. Mostly there are only the pupils, which makes the measures, on it.
Also from the other group are hardly pupils on the photos. They boys of  our class liked to make the measurement, because they came a little too late to the next hour.  And we  (poor girls) had only to make the protocols and comments. The weather jokes are very cheerful, but unfortunately is no comment of me at the new ESEM, then was been perfect the issue, but one cannot have even all!

                                                                            Let's start measuring…

This  year the third class of "Liceo Scientifico-Tecnologico Oreste Del Prete"- Sava, has  become a member of the international twinning project  called "e-Hermes", concerning  the study of  the weather  conditions and the envA Few Commentsironmental data in our community.
When our teachers told us that  we were responsible for that, we  had a really enthusiastic reaction.
It is a new experience for us and  we can learn new things.
Mr Patrono, our physics teacher,  explained  the working of  the  instruments  to  us  and  our  I. T.  teacher,  Mrs  Vecchio,  showed  us  how  to  process  the  data  through  the  electronic  media.
We located our weather station in the school yard, but we had some problems. We didn't have a support to install the instruments on, so we had to put them in a provisional place.  Now we have a sort of open box with ideal conditions of ventilation and protection from  outdoor hazards.
Every morning we take measurements of temperature, air humidity, height and pH value of rainfall. We are also going to take measurements of noise and of magnetic fields. In fact, our school has seen to the purchase of the sound  level measuring device as well as of the magnetic field measuring device.
To be true, it has bought the electronic components for each device which have been mounted by some students in "Oreste Del Prete" Electronics and Telecommunications classes.
We send all data to our partner school, the Greek Ellinogermaniki Agogi, by Internet. We  also had a problem in the computer room: we had to enter our daily data, but we didn't remember  the  right  password. Our I.T. teacher was at home and she was the only one to know the password! We tried all  the possible combinations for almost ten minutes, then we gave up and phoned our teacher. At last she told us the "magic word".
