Evaluation Methodology

The aims of the evaluation within Eurospin has been once again presented (See Annex, Evaluation Methodology). Then, Dagmar Schaeffer has been asked to present the second evaluation questionnaire. It should be pointed out that a copy of this questionnaire had been distributed to the partners before the meeting in order for them to have time to reflect upon.

Nikitas Kastis commented that the evaluation questionnaires developed are too narrow to reflect the objectives of the evaluation. A discussion on the objectives started, and it has been judged as indispensable to re-think and re-evaluate the evaluation framework proposed.

The partners have been asked to express their interests in the project, since they represent the various groups of stakeholders involved in the project. Thus, they could give feedback to the stakeholders analysis, which is the first and important step of developing the evaluation framework.

  • Heinz Wagner representing the group of journalists said that it is of interest to him to see the results of the research, meaning the information collected, as well as to evaluate the collaboration of the pupils as well as of the teachers with the journalist.
  • Manfred Lohr and Toran Birgit representing the teachers said that it is important for them to evaluate the collaboration at international level.
  • Dagmar Schaeffer, also representing the teachers group, said it will be of interest to see how new technologies contributed in the project activities, if new forms of learning have been enabled, get a feeling of the other people's views, and finally to see if teaching of Statistics has been promoted through the program.
  • Olga Megalakaki represented mainly the research community, expressed her interest in evaluating the collaboration enabled within the project, the process of writing articles as well as the learning process, and finally the contribution of Internet to learning.
