Hannu Salmi and Jani Koivula were demonstrating miniatures in a big Science and Technology-event in the University of Helsinki on the 16th of April, 2010 (www.helsinki.fi/lumo/tiedepaivat). Kati Tyystjärvi was taking photos.
There were approximately 30 teachers and students, who participated in this demonstration during the day. People were able to try these miniatures, ask questions and have answers. Participants were very delighted and they praise demonstration.
People also gave some feedback how to develop Miniwing-miniature, that it could be more suitable also for the younger kids. It is quite tricky to explain to children, why long distance passing the air flow is faster. Participants proposed that first there should be a still-picture where teacher could ask, which the arrow is first at the finish. After that Miniwing- demonstration can be used. Feedback was also given from fire truck. Participants thought that movement must be fast enough that the difference can be found.
