General objectives
The project "Sweet Water" links itself to the community policy on water, the sustainable management of water resources, as outlined in the sixth Environmental Action Program of the European Community 2001-1010. It refers to the action line Ref ENV.3.1. Awareness raising and information related to EU environmental policy.
The project "Sweet Water" aims at the development of a European movement for the sustainable management of water resources. It will raise awareness for environmental issues through mini TV series (mini spots) suitable for young people, but also for individuals of all age groups, and for all European countries.
Objectives of the project Sweet Water
- To develop the mini series "Sweet Water" on the background of the topic water management (valid for Greece)
- To produce the TV Comic spots (approx.5)
- To broadcast the series in the partner countries
- To disseminate the "Sweet Water" series in Europe in order to gain follow-up actions
- To initiate an European movement , where more parties and countries are invited to join in and adapt and/or create new "Sweet Water" series
Aims for the Sweet Water project's impact
- To create awareness and consciousness for the preciousness and immense value of water for the planet earth and all life forms therein.
- To understand the threat to water resources
- To develop sensitive behavior towards a sustainable water management
